The Customer-Journey Diagnostic
For owners and creators whose customers already find them and buy, who want to know which part of the journey to change first.
- Where your customers actually come from, sorted by which of those sources you control and which you could lose overnight.
- Where your sequence asks before it has earned — your emails, pages or sales conversation, read stage by stage.
- The one change to make first, in writing, with what to watch so you know whether it worked.
What it takes: one recorded call, and the ledger from the free Self-Scorer if you have run it. The request asks four questions; each is worth answering whether or not we work together.
This is a fit if people already find you, some of them already buy, and you are willing to change the order of things rather than only the words. It is not a fit if you are pre-launch, or if what you want is copywriting.
Reports are produced with AI assistance under a fixed methodology and human-reviewed before delivery.
Your email client should now be open with the four questions pre-filled — answer them, paste your ledger underneath if you have one, and send. You will hear back within two business days, either way. If nothing opened, email clint@grantedattention.com directly.
Free first, if you would rather: the Self-Scorer reads your sequence, the calculator tallies where your last twenty customers came from, and the route audit sorts every route you have.
If the diagnostic finds more than one change worth making, a deeper audit or help putting the changes in place can follow — scoped and quoted from inside the delivered diagnostic, never before. Here is what that can look like, on a fictional composite business.
The Two Rooms Workshop
For teams where the same few people do the talking — including school faculties, departments and teaching centres, where the same pattern runs in the staffroom and the classroom.
Start free, on one meeting: the Meeting Test reads whether a recurring meeting hands out the floor or makes people win it, whether anything is actually decided there, and what the hour costs in attendee-hours. Two minutes, and nothing you answer is sent anywhere. Then the Meeting Redesign Kit: one change to how that meeting hands out the floor, and a check after four meetings on whether it helped. Free and printable. The workshop does the same for a team’s whole meeting inventory, with the team in the room.
Ninety minutes, remote or in person: a map of how your team’s meetings hand out the floor, one meeting redesigned live, and one commitment per person. Founding: $1,500 flat for the first three workshops. Then $1,500 up to 12 people, $2,000 up to 25. In person is quoted with travel. The founding three come in exchange for pilot participation, detailed feedback, and a recorded session review to tighten the script — no obligation to endorse, feedback need not be positive, and any material connection is disclosed if quoted.
- Fit, not deficiency. No type is better. Every finding is about the room, not a person.
- The domain rule. Everyone is typed at work only — other-room results are never collected or discussed.
- Disclosure is voluntary, always. The pre-work test is private; the team map shows aggregate counts by default, named positions only with each person’s opt-in.
- Never evaluative. Results feed no review, no promotion decision, no file — the sponsor signs to that in writing.
Your email client should now be open with the inquiry pre-filled — send it, and you’ll hear back within two business days. If nothing opened, email clint@grantedattention.com directly.
Talks
Three talks on the same distinction: one for general and education audiences, one for managers, and one on ideas and AI.
Twenty to sixty minutes, remote or in person. The fee depends on format and travel, not audience size, and for associations, non-profits, libraries and schools it is often waived if the date works. The business talk is the first fifteen minutes of the workshop above.
Before you pay for anything
The free instruments run the same method the paid work develops further — judge it there first. The method is also shown in worked demonstrations, published in full: a coaching practice, a creator business, a home-services contractor, and what can follow a diagnostic — all fictional composite businesses, sample reports and never client work. A report you cannot read is a report you cannot judge.
Building an AI product? The design review is described with its method on Conferral by Design.
